On June 27, 2026, NCCC held the “Grand Celebration of Canadian Multiculturalism Day.” Under the leadership of Presidents Biao Wu and Anmei Guo, our Standard Dance Senior Club attended the celebration as scheduled and experienced the interaction and integration of diverse cultures. Through music, dance and laughter, we celebrated this colourful summer together!

A viral cha-cha dance ignited the enthusiasm of the entire audience and opened the summer multicultural celebration.

Haifeng Yang, President of NCCC, attended the event in person to offer guidance, participate and watch the performances. He also delivered an enthusiastic speech in both Chinese and English, encouraging everyone to step outside their homes, take part in more multicultural activities, strengthen the community and work together to build an inclusive and harmonious life. His slogan was: “Have fewer expectations, a milder temper and a happier mood.”

The hosts, Xia Tian and Xingang Wang, presented the poetry recitation Read China. With powerful voices, they conveyed cultural confidence, and with sincere emotion, they celebrated the beauty of China, igniting patriotic enthusiasm throughout the audience.

Sixteen teams gathered on stage, expressing their passion through recitation, showcasing their talents through dance, and highlighting the spirit of Chinese culture through martial arts. Together, they presented a vibrant and spectacular cultural celebration.

The ballroom dance Sleepless Tonight, led by Presidents Biao Wu and Anmei Guo, made a magnificent appearance. Blending grace with passion, the performance brought the entire event to its climax.

When the warmth of summer meets the charm of multiculturalism, every step becomes a beautiful scene and every moment is worth treasuring. We look forward to meeting again.
