BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF NCCC

New Canadian Community Centre (NCCC) is a remarkable non-profit organization that has been an integral part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) since its registration in Ontario in 2001. With a strong focus on supporting new immigrants, especially seniors, in their journey to integrate into Canadian society, NCCC has achieved significant milestones over the past 24 years. Their dedication is evident through their extensive network of leadership, comprising more than 100 senior volunteer leaders and 24 sub-branches, each engaging in routine activities across 18 different locations in local community centers. Currently, the organization boasts 4,000 active members and a cumulative membership of 35,000. Their impact is felt deeply within the community, as they have successfully encouraged cross-community interaction and multiculturalism. The NCCC’s commitment to facilitating integration is underscored by their numerous initiatives, including dance, singing, mahjong, poke, and Chinese Operas, which have attracted over a dozen thousands of seniors annually. Over the past two decades, NCCC has served over 50,000 seniors in the GTA yearly. Furthermore, the organization’s expertise in coordinating various events and projects has garnered recognition and support from prestigious institutions such as the City of Toronto, the Canadian Red Cross, the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association, and Employment and Social Development Canada. As the headquarters office overseeing 24 branches, NCCC has effectively coordinated and facilitated activities proposed by these branches, ensuring a seamless process for both participants and funders alike. Their rich history, combined with their strategic partnerships and proven track record in successful coordination, makes them a key player in fostering a vibrant and inclusive community in the GTA.
